Double Standard
In recent news, our President Joe Biden was essentially exonerated from any criminal activity regarding classified documents that he had in his possession at his home in Delaware. Where I find this to be a perfect example of a double standard is that Joe Biden possessed some of these documents for more than 30-years, of which he was never authorized to remove them from their storage location as a Senator, or a Vice President, let alone take them home. Yet, there seems to be no consequence.

In contrast, Donald Trump was President at the time he came in possession of the classified documents and had the full authority of the law to remove, declassify or relocate them; whether he did or not is another argument. Yet Joe Biden gets a pass, and Donald Trump remains indicted for the crime.
By the letter of the law, they both should face consequences, Biden because he never had the authority to possess them, and Trump because he failed to follow procedure to declassify them before he left office.
Is this a double standard?
Yes, it is a double standard. But if the left didn’t have double standards, they’d have no standards at all. And they don’t care.
I firmly believe they are not “going after” Trump to “get him”. Instead, they are going after him to send a message to the next would be Trump who may come along in the future.
That may very well be the overall objective, which is a very sad state of affairs for this nation. But again, look to the current news, another double standard with the death of Aleksei Navalny and the hypocrisy of our President to impose additional sanctions on Vladimir Putin (Russia) for putting down his political opposition. As Biden (and the democrats) do the same thing through the weaponization of the Federal Government.
Is this the rise of the Forth Reich in the western hemisphere, where the Democrats will reign for the next 1,000 years? Our government is putting down its opposition politically, and within the people (Jan. 6th prosecutions). Attempting to ban guns, and even take them away; in an effort to curb additional opposition. Thoughts?
“……….where the Democrats will reign for the next 1,000 years?”
I am cautiously optimistic this will not be the case. I believe people are beginning to wake up. Especially among minorities. They are beginning to push back.
On the other hand, liberalism is not unlike religion to some. Especially to white women. It is impossible to have an honest debate. They act offended and all debate is stopped. (But they claim to be so open minded.)
We need to take back academia. The sad state of America’s universities is they have become nothing but liberal indoctrination centers turning out social justice warriors. But there’s beginning to be some push back in this arena too. I understand there are some alums who have filed lawsuit(s) against (I think) Harvard for going woke.
There’s even push back on the international stage, the dishonest legacy media hates to report on (if it ever does).
A law and order president was elected in El Salvador on a law and order platform. He turned his country around from being the most dangerous in the western hemisphere to one of the safest. Of course the left, especially the ones here don’t like how he’s doing it. Again, he turned things around so fast and so deeply that he can legitimately claim you’re safer in El Salvador than you are in any big city in America. I understand he won reelection by a landslide.
Then there is the election of Javier Milei in Argentina. Day one he went to work and cut many, if not most gov’t departments and even shut down others. He’s so successful, that Argentina has actually posted a budget surplus for the first time in decades. Time will tell if he wins reelection. Side note: Javier Milei spoke this weekend at CPAC.
Again, I’m cautiously optimistic for the long run and I feel even more strongly that history is not going to be kind to today’s liberals.
